Department of South and Southeast Asian languages<\/strong><\/p>\n

The department was established in 1947 and operated first under the name “North Indian Philology” (1947), then “Indian Philology” and since 1993 “Languages of South Asia”. Since 2018, it has been called the Department of Languages of South and Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n

At the moment, many graduates of the department work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, at the Institute for Strategic Studies, at the embassies of Uzbekistan in foreign countries, at Uzbekistan Airways, at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at various universities in Uzbekistan and in other serious organizations, which they continue to contribute contribution to the development of comprehensive relations between India and Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n
