<\/td>\nThere are three Departments and two non-specialty Departments in the Faculty of Oriental Civilization and History at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. They are:<\/p>\n
1) Department of \u201cHistory and Anthropology of Eastern countries\u201d<\/p>\n
2) Department of \u201cHistory and Ethnology of Central Asian Folks\u201d<\/p>\n
3) Department of \u201cOriental Philosophy and Culture\u201d<\/p>\n
4) Department of \u201cSource study and hermeneutics of mysticism\u201d<\/p>\n
5) Department of \u201cPedagogy and Psychology\u201d<\/p>\n
Nowadays 57 teachers and professors are working as main stuff at the faculty. Of them: 11 doctors of sciences and professors; 22 candidates of sciences (PhD) and docents; 24 senior lecturers and teachers:<\/p>\n
The scientific potential of the faculty is 57,9%.<\/strong><\/p>\n We are preparing specialists on bachelor and master\u2019s levels at the Faculty of Oriental Civilization and History in the following areas and specialties:<\/p>\n Undergraduate majors (full-time education):<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n 602<\/strong>20300<\/strong> \u2013 History (Eastern countries and regions) \u2013 4 years;<\/p>\n 602<\/strong>20300<\/strong> \u2013 History (Central Asian countries) \u2013 4 years;<\/p>\n 602<\/strong>20500<\/strong> \u2013 Philosophy (Oriental philosophy and culture) \u2013 4 years;<\/p>\n 602<\/strong>30500 <\/strong>\u2013 Antropology and etnology \u2013 4 years.<\/p>\n Undergraduate majors (<\/u><\/strong>evening education):<\/strong><\/p>\n 602<\/strong>20300<\/strong> \u2013 History (Eastern countries and regions) \u2013 4.5 years;<\/p>\n 602<\/strong>20300<\/strong> \u2013 History (Central Asian countries) \u2013 4.5 years;<\/p>\n 602<\/strong>20500<\/strong> \u2013 Philosophy (Oriental philosophy and culture) \u2013 4.5 years;<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Master\u2019s specialties:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n 70220301<\/strong> \u2013 History (by directions and types of activity) \u2013 2 years;<\/p>\n 70220303<\/strong> \u2013 Historiography, Source Studies and methods of Historical Research (by History of Central Asia) \u2013 2 years;<\/p>\n 70220502<\/strong> \u2013 Oriental philosophy and culture \u2013 2 years;<\/p>\n 70230501<\/strong> \u2013 Ethnography, ethnology and anthropology \u2013 2 years<\/p>\n 70220503<\/strong> \u2013 Hermeneutics of mysticism \u2013 2 years<\/p>\n The total number of students in the faculty is 879.<\/strong><\/p>\n Of them:<\/p>\n 461 undergraduate students are in the form of full-time education, 169 undergraduate students are in the form of evening education, 179 undergraduate students are in the form of extramural studies, 70 students are on Master\u2019s degree.<\/p>\n Foreign languages studied in all specialties of the faculty are:<\/p>\n Oriental languages:<\/strong> Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Pashto, Dari, Hindi, Urdu, Chinese<\/p>\n Western languages:<\/strong> English, German<\/p>\n <\/p>\n International relations of faculty<\/strong><\/p>\n In Russian Federation<\/u>: Moscow State University, Institute of Asia and Africa at the Moscow State University, Institute of Manuscripts in St. Petersburg, Department of Sociology, History and Philosophy, University of Finance under the Government of the Russian Federation, The State Hermitage.<\/p>\n China<\/u>: Northwest University, Pedagogical University in Shaanxi, Lanzhou University.<\/p>\n Turkey: University of Ankara, Istanbul University, University of \u00a0Hacettepe, University of Ederne, TIKA.<\/p>\n The Netherlands: University of Leiden.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Scientific activity and doctoral studies<\/strong><\/p>\n Doctorate<\/p>\n Nowadays, more than 15 doctoral scholars and independent researchers are conducting research for the degree of Doctor of Science (DSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the following specialties in the field of history and philosophy:<\/p>\n 07.00.03 \u2013 World History<\/p>\n 07.00.08 \u2013 Historiography, source studies and methods of historical research<\/p>\n 09.00.03 \u2013 History of Philosophy<\/p>\n 07.00.05 \u2013 International relations and history of foreign policy<\/p>\n 07.00.07 \u2013 Ethnology, ethnography and anthropology<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Currently we have corporate partnerships with the following organizations:<\/strong><\/p>\n Institute of Oriental Studies named after Abu Rayhon Beruni, Institute of History of the Republic of Uzbekistan, The State Museum of Temurid\u2019s History, The State Museum of History of Uzbekistan, Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendship with Foreign Countries under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Public education departments of Tashkent province and Tashkent city, Public education department of Mirabad district.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Graduates of the faculty are working in the following organizations:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Spiritual and educational work<\/strong><\/p>\n Clubs and scientific circles operating at the faculty are:<\/p>\n \u201cThe Young historian-orientalists\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe Young historians\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe Young philosophers\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The followings were organized by 5 initiatives and to spend student\u2019s free time meaningfully at the faculty:<\/strong><\/p>\n The League of \u201cZAKOVAT\u201d<\/p>\n The studio of \u201cStudent Theater\u201d<\/p>\n Cup of Dean about sport competitions<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Material and technical base of faculty<\/strong><\/p>\n Educational building: 20 Amir Temur Street, Tashkent.<\/p>\n The number of classrooms is 45.<\/p>\n Computer classes are 4. The number of auditoriums equipped with a multimedia complex is 37.<\/p>\n The Students House: Tashkent, District of Mirzo Ulugbek, Ziyolilar Street 33.<\/p>\n In the building of faculty is located \u201cThe main information and resource center\u201d (IRC) of university, which has about 15,000 titles of textbooks. In the new IRC provides modern opportunities to work with information resources. The full-text electronic form of educational, teaching and scientific literature is developed on the basis of scanning and input into the software.
