The \u201cGender Studies Research Center\u201d has been established under the TSUOS. The main tasks of the center are as follows:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Conducting scientific research aimed at comprehensively studying gender equality and women\u2019s issues, and developing proposals for the Republic of Uzbekistan based on the study of foreign experience;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Training scientific and pedagogical staff and specialists in gender studies and conducting research work in collaboration with local and foreign partners, in particular, preparing scientific projects, dissertations, monographs and scientific articles;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Conducting gender research from an interdisciplinary perspective and implementing research results into public policy;<\/p>\n
Develop and implement proposals for including gender-focused subjects in the university curriculum;<\/p>\n
\u2013 develop cooperation in the field of ensuring gender equality between academic circles, the media, and non-governmental non-profit organizations in the region;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Holding scientific conferences, seminars, and roundtable discussions at various levels with foreign gender research centers and international organizations;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Improving the skills of teachers and researchers through organizing scientific seminars, roundtable discussions, and various scientific conferences;<\/p>\n
\u2013 To regularly publish the results of the Center\u2019s scientific research, with the support of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and other sponsors, the international scientific journal \u201cGender Studies\u201d four times a year, as well as regularly publish materials introducing the activities of the Center and scientific results achieved in the field in republican and university publications;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Organizing consultations at the center for teachers, doctoral students, and independent researchers engaged in scientific activities in the republic;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Attracting leading experts conducting gender research in our country and abroad to the work of the center;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Actively participate in the formation of a new generation of gender studies specialists;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Developing startups and innovative projects together with talented students, master\u2019s students, and doctoral students, and holding scientific seminars and project presentations in collaboration with leading research centers and universities abroad;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Monitoring and ensuring the timely completion of research work in the field of gender studies at the university.<\/p>\n
In accordance with the tasks assigned to it, the Center performs the following functions:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Conducts research work based on the University’s scientific research work and the work plan of the Center;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Organizes seminars, round tables, and conferences on topical issues in the field of gender studies;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Prepares analytical articles and analytical reports to disseminate research results to the general public based on the approved plan of the University and the Center;<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u2013 Organizes \u201cGender Equality Days\u201d at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and covers it in the media;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Participates in other analytical projects that do not contradict the goals and objectives of the University;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Attracts university professors, teachers, students, researchers, masters, as well as employees of state bodies, representatives of analytical centers, scientific institutions, and specialists from foreign countries to organize the work of the Center;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Coordinates graduation qualification theses, master’s and doctoral dissertations, and various scientific research and analytical projects in the field of gender in cooperation with departments;<\/p>\n
\u2013 Develops proposals for the study and implementation of advanced foreign experience in conducting scientific research in the field of gender;<\/p>\n
