Through extensive partnerships and participation in international programs, TSUOS systematically studies, compares, and adapts successful global approaches to higher education governance, inclusivity, and institutional innovation, integrating them into its strategic and operational framework.<\/p>\n

International Cooperation and Research-Based Collaboration<\/p>\n
As of the academic year 2025-2026, TSUOS has established 15 international agreements (MoUs and cooperation documents) with universities, research institutes, and organizations.<\/p>\n
Each partnership includes a clause on academic cooperation, joint research, and the sharing of best practices<\/em> in education, gender equality, social inclusion, and sustainable innovation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Through these collaborations, TSUOS and its partners jointly:<\/p>\n Within the framework of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM)<\/strong> programme, TSUOS collaborates with universities across Europe and Asia to enhance academic exchange, promote sustainable education models, and share effective institutional practices in governance and inclusivity.<\/p>\n TSUOS implements international collaboration for sustainable development through the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) programme. In the academic year 2025-2026, TSUOS faculty members, doctoral researchers and students participated in academic exchanges with the University of Pisa<\/a> (Italy), E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd University<\/a> and K\u00e1roli G\u00e1sp\u00e1r University of the Reformed Church<\/a> (Hungary), and Leiden University<\/a> (the Netherlands). Activities included lectures, seminars, research, academic consultations, knowledge exchange and access to partner universities\u2019 academic resources.<\/p>\n These collaborations serve as a platform for:<\/p>\n This program helps TSUOS align its academic practices with European standards and apply evidence-based approaches to inclusive and sustainable education (SDGs 4, 5, 10, and 17).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n TSUOS is an active participant in the Uzbekistan Governance Change Academy Network (G-CAN)<\/strong> \u2014 part of the British Council\u2019s \u201cGoing Global Partnerships\u201d Programme<\/strong>, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n G-CAN is designed to strengthen university governance systems<\/strong><\/a> through experiential learning, international benchmarking, and peer-to-peer exchange. Through participation, TSUOS:<\/p>\n TSUOS organised the international scientific-practical conference \u201cCentral Asia in Contemporary International Relations: Prospects for Stability and Development\u201d to examine regional sustainable development, security, geopolitical processes and prospects for international cooperation. Participants explored regional integration, national and regional identity, political developments in Afghanistan, the role of the Organization of Turkic States and international cooperation in the energy sector.<\/p>\n The conference provided a platform for exchanging academic perspectives on regional development and international cooperation, allowing researchers to examine political, economic and security challenges affecting Central Asia. Discussions on energy cooperation and regional stability were relevant to the broader sustainable development agenda, particularly SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).<\/p>\n On 11 April 2026, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) hosted the II International Scientific Conference on \u201cSustainable Economic Growth: Integration of Green Economy Principles and Practices,\u201d in cooperation with Istanbul Commerce University and Bishkek State University. The conference brought together representatives of domestic and international universities, research centres, government bodies and international organisations. Participants included Neena Malhotra, Secretary of India’s Ministry of External Affairs, and Smita Pant, Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, alongside experts from India, Pakistan, T\u00fcrkiye and other countries.<\/p>\n The conference facilitated the exchange of international experience on sustainable economic development, green economy policies, renewable energy, food security, digitalisation and sustainable transport. Discussions included green economy policies in China and other countries, enabling participants to consider different national approaches to sustainability challenges. The event resulted in recommendations to expand renewable energy use, strengthen cooperation with international financial institutions, improve regional transport and logistics integration, and support research and innovation.<\/p>\n Through international academic partnerships and multi-stakeholder dialogue, the conference supported the identification and exchange of practices relevant to SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). <\/p>\n On 10 April 2026, the Department of Western Languages of TSUOS organised the international scientific conference \u201cNew Trends in Foreign Language Teaching: Inclusive Education and Innovations in EFL\/ESP.\u201d The conference brought together local and international scholars to discuss contemporary approaches to language teaching, inclusive education, intercultural communication, corpus linguistics, artificial intelligence in education and innovative pedagogical technologies.<\/p>\n Through plenary presentations and thematic sessions, participants exchanged knowledge and explored international experience in foreign language teaching, inclusive educational practices and the application of emerging technologies. These discussions supported the identification of approaches that could improve educational accessibility, teaching quality and the integration of innovative methods into educational practice.<\/p>\n The conference was relevant to SDG 4 (Quality Education), particularly inclusive education and effective teaching practices, and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) through its focus on educational inclusion. Its contribution to the criterion would be stronger if the conference programme or proceedings documented specific comparisons between countries’ educational practices and recommendations for their adaptation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n International Research and Comparative Approaches to Advancing the SDGs <\/strong><\/p>\n During the 2025\u20132026 academic year, researchers associated with Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies contributed to research on sustainable development challenges in Central Asia through studies published in Scopus-indexed publications<\/a>. The research examined regional approaches to water-energy resource management, long-term sustainable development planning, and environmental assessment of infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n The study Digital Technology-Driven Modeling of Water-Energy Resource Management in Central Asia<\/em><\/a> proposed an integrated, data-driven framework for improving water and energy resource allocation across national borders. By incorporating predictive analytics, machine learning and digital modelling, the research explored how coordinated resource management could improve efficiency, strengthen regional cooperation and reduce the potential for disputes over shared resources.<\/p>\n\n
