LIFELONG LEARNING ACCESS POLICY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LIFELONG LEARNING ACCESS POLICY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Adopted policy: 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Last reviewed: 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Purpose<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This policy establishes the principles and procedures that guarantee <strong>equal and inclusive access<\/strong> to all lifelong learning activities organized by <strong>Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS)<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIt reflects the university\u2019s commitment to providing <strong>quality education for all<\/strong>, in line with the <strong>United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 \u2013 Quality Education and SDG 10 \u2013 Reduced Inequalities)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong> Scope<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This policy applies to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All <strong>lifelong learning programs<\/strong>, including community courses, open lectures, public seminars, and digital education platforms (e.g., <a href=\"https:\/\/dilib.tsuos.uz\/\">TSUOS Digital Library \u2013 https:\/\/dilib.tsuos.uz\/<\/a>);<\/li>\n<li>All <strong>participants<\/strong>, including students, teachers, staff, community members, and international learners;<\/li>\n<li>All <strong>institutes, faculties, centers, and departments<\/strong> engaged in the delivery of non-degree and outreach educational activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> Policy Statement<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>TSUOS affirms that <strong>lifelong learning opportunities shall be open and accessible to all individuals<\/strong>, <strong>without discrimination or restriction<\/strong> on the basis of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ethnicity or nationality<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Religion or belief<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Gender or gender identity<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Disability or physical condition<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Socio-economic background<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Immigration or refugee status<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Age or language background<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All institutional bodies of TSUOS are required to ensure that participation in educational outreach, open courses, and online learning activities is inclusive and free from any form of direct or indirect discrimination.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> Implementation Measures<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To enforce this policy, TSUOS:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Designs all public programs and events<\/strong> to be inclusive, using accessible venues and materials.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Provides online alternatives<\/strong> (e.g., digital lectures, e-books, and webinars) for participants unable to attend in person.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ensures physical accessibility<\/strong> to all educational facilities used for lifelong learning activities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Conducts awareness sessions<\/strong> for teaching and administrative staff on equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monitors participation<\/strong> to identify and address potential barriers related to gender, disability, or socio-economic status.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong> Digital Access and Open Resources<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Through its open educational platform \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/dilib.tsuos.uz\/\"><strong>TSUOS Digital Library (https:\/\/dilib.tsuos.uz\/)<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 the university guarantees <strong>free access to educational materials, e-books, and research publications<\/strong> for anyone, inside or outside the campus.<br \/>\nThis platform serves as a key component of TSUOS\u2019s commitment to <strong>lifelong learning and inclusive education<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><strong> Responsibility<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs<\/strong> oversees the implementation of this policy.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Department of International Rankings <\/strong>monitors and reports on inclusiveness indicators for the Impact Rankings.<\/li>\n<li>Each <strong>institute and faculty <\/strong>is responsible for applying inclusive practices within their specific programs and ensuring compliance with this policy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><strong> Review and Monitoring<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This policy shall be reviewed <strong>annually<\/strong> by the TSUOS Academic Council to ensure its continued relevance and alignment with international best practices in higher education and inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tsuos.uz\/en\/english-annual-report-2024\/\">https:\/\/tsuos.uz\/en\/english-annual-report-2024\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a data-lightbox=\"post-image\" data-title=\"4.3.5.
