ELECTED REPRESENTATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) ensures inclusive, transparent, and participatory governance through elected representation of students, faculty, and staff on the university\u2019s highest governing and advisory bodies. Representatives from all groups are formally elected according to internal regulations and serve as active members in shaping university policy, academic development, and community engagement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Elected representatives at TSUOS include:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Leader of the Youth Union<\/strong> is elected annually by students to represent undergraduate and graduate students in university initiatives and governance. The Leader represents the youth voice at the University\u2019s annual Public Council and serves as a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/tsuos.uz\/en\/universitet-kengashi\/\"><strong>Council of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tsuos.uz\/en\/yoshlar-ittifoqi-bt\/\">Youth Union \u2192<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/tsuos_yu\/7935\">Telegram source 1 \u2192<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/tsuos_yu\/7934\">Telegram source 2 \u2192<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/telegra.ph\/-09-25-2113\"><strong>Leader of the Youth Academy<\/strong><\/a> is <a href=\"https:\/\/tsuos.uz\/yoshlar-akademiyasi-faoliyati-boyicha-2025-2026-oquv-yili-uchun-saylov-tashkil-etilmoqda\/\">elected annually<\/a> to represent young researchers and students at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. Responsibilities include coordinating with faculty representatives and providing proposals and reports during visits of the President, Cabinet of Ministers, or University Rector, as well as supporting youth-related initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Coordinators of each institute and faculty<\/strong> \u2013 Elected each academic year by students of TSUOS to promote student research, academic initiatives, and participation in scientific events.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/tsuos_yu\/7993\">Telegram source 1 \u2192<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/tsuos_yu\/7992\">Telegram source 2 \u2192<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/tsuos_yu\/7991\">Telegram source 3 \u2192<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/tsuos_yu\/7990\">Telegram source 4 \u2192<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chairman of the Trade Union Committee<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/tsuos.uz\/en\/toshkent-davlat-sharqshunoslik-universitetida-kasaba-uyushmasi-qomitasining-hisobot-saylov-konferensiyasi\/\">Elected by the university\u2019s employees<\/a>, including academic and administrative staff, to protect labor rights, improve working conditions, and coordinate social welfare activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tsuos.uz\/en\/kasaba-uyushmasi-qomitasi\/\">Trade Union Committee \u2192<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chairperson of the Women\u2019s Committee<\/strong> \u2013 Elected to advance gender equality, social support, and women\u2019s professional development across the university.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tsuos.uz\/en\/xotin-qizlar-qomitasi\/\">Women\u2019s Committee \u2192<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chairman of the Young Scientists\u2019 Council<\/strong> \u2013 Elected through open voting in accordance with the Council\u2019s Charter (Article 3.2), representing early-career researchers and promoting innovation and academic excellence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tsuos.uz\/yosh-olimlar-uyushmasi\/\">Young Scientists\u2019 Council \u2192<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The legal basis for election to these positions includes the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lex.uz\/docs\/4631281\"><strong>The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan \u201cOn Trade Unions\u201d<\/strong><\/a> (No. 588, dated 6 December 2019).<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lex.uz\/docs\/3255680\"><strong>Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-5106<\/strong><\/a> (<em>\u201cOn Increasing the Effectiveness of the State Youth Policy and Supporting the Activities of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan\u201d<\/em>, dated 5 July 2017).<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lex.uz\/uz\/docs\/5899498?ONDATE=01.01.2026\"><strong>Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 87<\/strong><\/a> (dated 7 March 2022) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lex.uz\/uz\/docs\/5884143?ONDATE=13.01.2025\"><strong>Presidential Decree No. 81<\/strong><\/a> (dated 1 March 2022).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Through this system of regular and democratic elections, TSUOS guarantees representation from students (both undergraduate and graduate), faculty members, and non-faculty staff in decision-making processes.
