About the Education Quality Assurance Department of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n

This Department was established based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-76 dated May 5, 2025, “On Additional Measures to Improve the System of Ensuring Educational Quality and Providing Educational Services,” the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 498 dated August 6, 2025, “On the Introduction of a System for State Accreditation of Vocational, Secondary Specialized, Higher, and Postgraduate Education and Professional Development Organizations,” the 2026 Comprehensive Development Roadmap, as well as the Charter and decisions of the University Council of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS). It defines the status, primary objectives, functions, rights, responsibilities, and operational procedures of the Education Quality Assurance Department within the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.<\/p>\n

Purpose<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The primary objective of the Department is to systematically ensure educational quality within the University and continuously develop mechanisms for its enhancement. It monitors the compliance of the educational process with State Educational Standards, national legislation, the University’s strategic development directions, and international quality benchmarks.<\/p>\n

The Department serves to increase the effectiveness of educational and scientific-methodological activities, regularly analyze student academic performance and the quality of specialist training, organize internal accreditation processes, and develop evidence-based recommendations and measures to identify and eliminate factors that negatively impact the quality of education. Furthermore, the Department aims to strengthen the University\u2019s international reputation, foster the training of competitive specialists equipped with modern competencies, and contribute to establishing a culture of quality.<\/p>\n

About the Department<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Department conducts its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Education,” resolutions of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees, resolutions, and orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, orders and legal directives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations and the University Rector, as well as the Regulation on the Department.<\/p>\n

In the organizational structure of the University, the Education Quality Assurance Department reports directly to the University Rector. Any interference by vice-rectors, deans, or heads of other structural subdivisions in the activities of this Department is strictly prohibited. An “Expert Group” on quality assurance operates under the auspices of this Department.<\/strong><\/p>\n

KEY FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Systematic Monitoring and Analysis:<\/strong> To systematically study, analyze, and monitor the compliance of the educational process, student academic performance, educational content, and teaching-methodological activities with State Educational Standards.<\/li>\n
  2. Performance Evaluation:<\/strong> To objectively evaluate and analyze the pedagogical activities, teaching quality, scientific productivity, innovative approaches, and KPI metrics of the academic staff.<\/li>\n
  3. Digital Infrastructure Oversight:<\/strong> To study the effectiveness of utilizing HEMIS, MOODLE, APS, and other digital platforms; monitor the completeness and timeliness of data entry; and assess the quality of electronic educational resources.<\/li>\n
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:<\/strong> To analyze feedback from students, academic staff, alumni, employers, and other stakeholders, conduct surveys, and integrate their suggestions into the process of improving educational quality.<\/li>\n
  5. Innovation and Integration:<\/strong> To provide analysis and recommendations for the implementation of modern pedagogical technologies, digital solutions, and artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the educational process.<\/li>\n
  6. Corrective Actions:<\/strong> To track the implementation of corrective measures regarding identified issues, evaluate their effectiveness, and develop proposals to prevent the recurrence of such issues.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
