As we reported earlier, on the occasion of “December 18 – International Day of the Arabic Language” at TSUOS, professors, teachers, researchers and students of the department “Arabic Philology” and “Classical Philology and Literary Studies” organized a scientific and educational event on the topic “Arabic studies in Uzbekistan: history, today and the future”.<\/p>\n

As part of this event, the University was visited by the Chairman of the Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations and Tourism of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan R. Alimov, as well as Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and representatives of the embassy in Uzbekistan, such Arab countries as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Sultanate Oman, Algeria.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of the event, an exhibition of the art of Arabic writing and calligraphy, as well as examples of creativity of university students, was organized.<\/p>\n

Also, university students demonstrated their knowledge and skills in Arabic, acting as scientists who have made a great contribution to the development of world science. The performance, skillfully staged in Arabic, showed the level of Arabic language proficiency among the students of our university.<\/p>\n

At the end of the event, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and representatives of the embassies in Uzbekistan of such Arab countries as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, the Sultanate of Oman, Algeria, highly appreciated the language skills of students. In the near future, it was proposed to establish academic cooperation between TSUOS and advanced universities in the Arab countries.<\/p>\n
