Currently, a roundtable on “Active and Sports Tourism in Uzbekistan: Current State, Issues, and Prospects” is taking place at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies in cooperation with the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Scientific Research Institute for Tourism Development.<\/p>\n

The event was opened with a welcoming speech by Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee Sardor Niyazov, Director of the Scientific Research Institute for Tourism Development Elena Golisheva, and Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations Durbek Sayfullayev.<\/p>\n

Specialists, scholars, and students participated in the event. The discussion covered the existing opportunities, current issues, and future prospects for the development of active and sports tourism. Several topics on improving the tourism industry were also discussed.<\/p>\n
