On December 17, 2024, a conference was held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the famous Indian actor and director Raj Kapoor.<\/p>\n

The conference was attended by Smita Pant, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan, renowned director Umesh Mehra, scholars, researchers of Indian cinema, and students.<\/p>\n

The speakers discussed Raj Kapoor’s creative work, his place in Indian cinema and world culture, as well as his role in strengthening Uzbek-Indian cultural ties.<\/p>\n
