On December 22, 2025, at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, at the initiative of the Department of Oriental Philosophy and Hermeneutics of the Faculty of Oriental Civilization and Philosophy, an open online lecture by Leiden University Professor Douglas L. Berger was held on the topic “Introduction to Chinese Philosophy: A Renewed Historical Approach.”<\/p>\n

The lecture was attended by doctoral students, master’s students in Oriental philosophy and culture, and students of the philosopher training program. The audience became acquainted with modern and new approaches to Chinese philosophy.<\/p>\n

For reference: Douglas L. Berger has been a professor at the Institute of Global and Comparative Philosophy at Leiden University since 2017. He is also the director of the Center for Intercultural Philosophy at Leiden University.<\/p>\n
