On April 16, 2026, professors of the Iranology Department at the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies of the University of Oxford \u2014 Dr. Edmund Herzig, Dr. Farniyaz Zaker, and Ms. Ani Beyt-Movsess \u2014 visited the Higher School of Iranian and Afghan Studies at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.<\/p>\n

During the visit, the guests met with the faculty members, where both sides exchanged information on the history of their respective schools and departments, academic staff, study programs, and courses offered.<\/p>\n

The meeting also focused on the organization of a summer school at TSUOS, as well as opportunities for University of Oxford students to study at the Higher School of Iranian and Afghan Studies for one semester.<\/p>\n

In addition, a scientific lecture titled \u201cPersian Language Studies at Oxford\u201d was delivered by the guests. Faculty members, master\u2019s students, and doctoral candidates actively participated in the lecture and received comprehensive answers to their questions.<\/p>\n
