<\/a><\/p>\nThe event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Professor Gulchehra Rikhsiyeva.<\/p>\n
Afterwards, the Rector of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Professor Mohd Shafri bin Mohd Rahim, shared his views on the prospects of academic cooperation.<\/p>\n During the event, students presented various artistic performances. In particular, the Malay national dance \u201cTarian Melayu,\u201d performed by first-year students, created a vibrant atmosphere at the event.<\/p>\n A video presentation about the winners of the \u201cPidato\u201d presentation competition was also shown. Second- and fourth-year students delivered speeches in the Malay language.<\/p>\n The artistic program continued with the songs \u201cLemak manis\u201d performed by third-year students and \u201cSaya Anak Malaysia\u201d performed by fourth-year students.\u00a0At the end of the event, volunteer teacher Professor Anida Sarudin expressed her gratitude to all participants.<\/p>\n a delegation of 9 representatives headed by Mohd Shafri bin Mohd Rahim, Rector of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), visited Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.<\/p>\n At the beginning of the meeting, TSUOS Rector Professor G. Rikhsiyeva provided detailed information about the university\u2019s educational processes, priority areas of scientific research, and the system for training highly qualified specialists in Oriental Studies.<\/p>\n For reference: Malay language teaching at TSUOS was introduced in 2004. Currently, 224 students are studying the language.<\/p>\n Rector Mohd Shafri bin Mohd Rahim also spoke about the Raja Zarith Sofiah Centre for Advanced Studies on Islam, Science and Civilization (RZS-CASIS), noting that the center is expected to gain faculty status in the near future. He emphasized the importance of strengthening research on Islamic civilization and the legacy of prominent scholars such as Al-Maturidi, Abu Rayhan Beruni, and Ibn Sina.<\/p>\n During the meeting, the UTM delegation proposed several initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation, including: In turn, Rector G. Rikhsiyeva supported these proposals and put forward several initiatives, including: The UTM leadership positively welcomed these initiatives and expressed readiness to provide opportunities for TSUOS representatives within 40 grants allocated for foreign researchers, as well as to offer free education to 5 students through academic exchange programs. In addition, possibilities for simplifying student visa procedures were discussed.<\/p>\n Another important initiative discussed during the meeting was the establishment of a \u201cHalal\u201d certification center on the TSUOS campus.
