On October 12, 2018, at Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies was organized a round table \u201cE.A. Schmidt\u00a0– an Orientalist scholar”, dedicated to the memory of one of the founders of Oriental studies in Uzbekistan, an orientalist and arabist E.A. Schmidt.<\/p>\n

At the round table participaed R.N. Shigabdinov, senior researcher of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, associate professor A.Khudoyberdiev, associate professor G.Sh.Rikhsieva, associate professor J.K.Shabanov, professors and teachers of the institute, and a relative of E.A.Schmidt F.Olennikova.<\/p>\n

Associate Professor G.Sh.Rikhsieva opened the round table and noted that in recent years the Institute has organized numerous events and round tables devoted to the scientific work of E.A.Schmidt. R.N. Shigabdinov, a senior researcher\u00a0of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, gave a presentation on E.A.Schmidt, gave a lot of interesting information about the scientific activities of the orientalist and presented a book about the scientist to the library of the institute. Associate Professor A.Kh.Khudoyberdiev and Associate Professor J.K.Shabanov also made lectures\u00a0on the scientific activities of E.A.Schmidt. The presentations made a great impression on the participants, and the students actively participated in the round table.<\/p>\n
