On 11th of December 2018, a number of students and professors from Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies participated in the literary evening called “Ideology, language and tanslation” which was devoted to the Honored Worker of Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Professor, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Gaybulla Salomov.<\/p>\n

In the event, which was organized by the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan attended prof. Muhammadjon Holbekov, prof. Boqieva Gulandom, a well-known journalist in Uzbekistan Saydi Umarov,\u00a0 prof. Abdusalom Umarov, Head of the Department of Theory and practice of translation of TSIOS Khairulla Khamidov, journalist Nadir Jonuzoq, and representatives of science and community, who made presentations on various aspects of scientific and creative activity of Gaybulla al-Salom. In particular, were\u00a0mentioned\u00a0the roles of\u00a0his monographs and textbooks like “Translation of articles, stories and idioms”, “Lexicon-frazeological problems of literary translation”, “Translation of texts from Russian into Uzbek language”, “Language and translation”, “Translator’s skills” , “Friendship Bridges” (in co-authorship), “Problems of literary translation and literary editing”, “Concerns about translation”, “Literary traditions and literary translation problems”, “Introduction to Translation Theory”, “Fundamentals of Translation Theory” in the scientific development of the Uzbek literature.<\/p>\n
