On\u00a0the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, an international conference \u201cCentral Asia connectivity: challenges and new opportunities\u201d is\u00a0being held in Tashkent on February 19-20, 2019. The organizers are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA).\u00a0Over 100 leading experts from analytical centers from Afghanistan, Belgium, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Georgia, Denmark, Egypt, India, Iran, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Kuwait and other countries participate in the forum. The agenda includes the current state of regional cooperation and the deepening of cooperation in the fields of security, trade, transport, water use, education and science. In his welcoming speech, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov described the era as a time of great challenges and new encouraging initiatives, putting at the center of the acute demand for rational interaction of the people of Central Asia and their neighbors with partners. The Foreign Minister set a trend to intensify actions on the dialogue platform, stressing the importance of offensive along the whole front of global cooperation.<\/p>\n

Also at the opening ceremony of the conference \u00a0participated\u00a0 representatives of Tashkent State Institute\u00a0of Oriental Studies.
