The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps in Tashkent, the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Ministry of Uzbekistan (CIRFRFC), public organizations, professors, techers, applicants, undergraduates, students of TSIOS, UWED and other higher educational institutions of the republic , representatives of scientific and expert circles and the media. The director of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan, Senator R.Nazarov, chairman of the CIRFRFC R. Kurbanov and the rector of TSIOS associate professor G. Rikhsieva, speaking, noted the importance of the heritage of Mahatma Gandhi and his philosophy of non-violent struggle. Reports and speeches of scientists and specialists were heard, the results of the joint project of the Embassy of India, the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan and TSIOS on the promotion of the great cultural heritage of the SCO countries, in particular India, were positively evaluated.
