Duties of the Center
– Comprehensive study of the history, stages of development, features of socio-political and economic development, and development models of Eastern countries, analyzed from the perspective of relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and these countries.
— Conducting analyses in the area of political research in harmony with the educational process and production, directly applying results to the current state and development problems of cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Eastern countries, and systematically studying perspectives while preparing relevant materials.
— Analysis of socio-political and economic processes, problems, and development trends in countries of strategic importance to Uzbekistan in the Near, Middle, and Far East regions, developing bilateral and multilateral relations, and new opportunities for state and public organizations, along with the business sector, to create scientifically based recommendations and suggestions.
– Studying the socio-economic situation in Eastern countries, the commonalities and uniqueness of their foreign policies, analyzing the historical and economic aspects of foreign policy formation, and examining the mechanisms, concepts, doctrines, and documents that determine foreign political strategies, as well as social and economic indicators and development trends.
— Investigating the specific aspects of the concepts of East and West, and the development trends in contemporary international relations, while examining in detail the dynamics of mutual relations between Eastern countries and the factors and conditions influencing their development.
— Actively participating in the formation of a new generation of Oriental experts capable of researching and analyzing international relations and foreign policy.
— Collaborating with state organizations and various entities interested in developing the economy based on their opportunities and conditions, creating necessary advantages for citizens, and exploring new aspects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation by studying socio-economic and political processes in Eastern countries from a country studies perspective, while preparing scientific analytical developments for production entities.
– Monitoring the new political realities forming and developing in Central Asia, identifying emerging and potential problems and threats, and developing «Concepts» and «Strategies» for the near and distant future to manage development processes.
– Addressing new tasks in foreign policy, identifying new priorities, factors, problems, and conditions, as well as models for developing and implementing modern methods and mechanisms for protecting national interests at the East-West junction.
– Developing start-up and innovative projects in collaboration with talented students, master’s candidates, and doctoral students, establishing close cooperation with scientific research institutions of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and conducting scientific seminars and project presentations.
The center performs the following tasks in accordance with the tasks assigned to it:
— The university carries out research based on scientific studies and the work plan of the center.
— It organizes seminars, roundtable discussions, and conferences on current issues of international relations and foreign policy, as well as the current state of economic and cultural processes.
— The university prepares analytical articles and reports to convey research results to the general public, based on the approved plan of the University and the Center.
— It participates in the preparation of educational courses and literature in cooperation with foreign experts.
— The university engages in other analytical projects that do not conflict with its goals and objectives.
– University professors, students, researchers, master’s candidates, as well as employees of state administration bodies, representatives of analytical centers, scientific institutions, and specialists from foreign countries are involved in the organization of the work of the center.
— The university coordinates graduation qualification works, master’s and doctoral dissertations, and various scientific research and analytical projects carried out in the fields of foreign policy and international relations, economic, and cultural spheres in cooperation with the departments.
— The university develops proposals for providing scientific and methodological support to research, studying and applying advanced foreign experiences in conducting scientific and analytical research on foreign policy and international relations.
— It prepares analytical materials on various aspects of international relations in Eastern countries.
