Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Keimyung University (Republic of Korea)
offer joint programs in:
- 60230100 PHILOLOGY AND LANGUAGE TEACHING: KOREAN LANGUAGE
- 60410100 ECONOMICS: KOREAN LANGUAGE
A unique opportunity to study under a joint program and receive diplomas from both universities!
Study duration – 4 years:
- 2 years – at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (language of instruction – Uzbek)
- 2 years – at Keimyung University (language of instruction – Korean)
Graduates will be awarded diplomas from both universities.
Classes are conducted under the credit-module system with the participation of leading professors and teachers from both universities. The education process at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies is fee-based, and tuition at Keimyung University is also on a paid basis.
STUDY CONDITIONS AT TASHKENT STATE UNIVERSITY OF ORIENTAL STUDIES
Annual tuition fee: 22,000,000 UZS
During the two years of study, students are provided with all necessary conditions to achieve TOPIK Level 3 in Korean language, which allows them to continue their studies at Keimyung University in the 3rd and 4th years.
If a student fails to obtain TOPIK Level 3, they will not be eligible to study at Keimyung University.
Students who achieve TOPIK Levels 4, 5, or 6 may receive tuition fee discounts of 50%, 70%, or 100%, respectively.
Students admitted to the first year must pay the full tuition amount specified in the contract in advance.
STUDY CONDITIONS AT KEIMYUNG UNIVERSITY
All expenses for two years of study, including health insurance, dormitory accommodation, and daily living expenses, must be covered by the students themselves.
During their studies at Keimyung University, students are also responsible for paying for their own round-trip airfare to and from Korea.
The tuition fee for the third year is adjusted according to the student’s level of Korean language proficiency and may also vary depending on academic performance at the end of each semester.
Students are allowed to work during their study period.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION
Applicants wishing to participate in this joint program must submit their documents to the Admissions Committee of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies between 20.09.2025 and 01.10.2025:
- Scanned copy of passport (including page with address) or ID card
- Scanned copy of a high school, lyceum, or college graduation certificate (attestat or diploma)
- Scanned copy of a Korean language proficiency certificate (if available)
- Scanned copy of the response sheet with scores from the State Testing Center relevant to the chosen program.
Graduates of this joint program will have the opportunity to successfully work in ministries and departments, diplomatic services, general education schools, and secondary specialized educational institutions. They also have the right to continue their education at the master’s level in higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
