Chess and Checkers Competitions at TSUOS
As part of the “5th Orientalist Students Festival,” a chess and checkers sports competition was organized at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) as the first project under the festival.
More than 200 students specializing in oriental studies participated in this intellectual contest, testing their knowledge and skills.
The winners of the competition were as follows:
In the chess category:
- Ilhom Nigmonjonov – 4th-year student, Institute of Eastern Languages and Literature
- Medeu Qosimov – 4th-year student, Institute of Foreign Policy and International Economic Relations
- Hasanbek Norboev – 2nd-year student, Institute of Foreign Policy and International Economic Relations
In the checkers category:
- Sabrina Nurmurodova – 1st-year student, Institute of Foreign Policy and International Economic Relations
- Doston Kurbonov – 1st-year student, Faculty of Eastern Civilization and Philosophy
- Doston Ikromov – 4th-year student, Institute of Eastern Languages and Literature
At the end of the competition, the winners and runners-up were awarded monetary prizes by the university. This not only served to encourage students’ involvement in sports and intellectual development but also provided them with financial support.
This initiative is a clear example of the university’s practical efforts to enhance student welfare.
