International Cooperation for the Development of Tourism
On May 13, 2024, a meeting was held between representatives of TSUOS and scholars from Rissho University to conduct joint research on tourism. During the meeting, Nodir Karimov, Director of the Scientific Research Center for the Study of Eastern Culture and Heritage, presented a project called “Japanese-friendly,” aimed at increasing the number of Japanese tourists visiting Uzbekistan and creating more convenient conditions for them.
Kahramon Khakberdiev, Director of the Analytical Research Center for the Study of Eastern Countries’ Development, proposed joint research on the development prospects of pilgrimage tourism.
From 2024 onwards, an action plan was discussed for the implementation of these projects.
As a result, it was planned that three professors and seven students from Rissho University would travel to the Boysun district of the Surkhandarya region and begin joint research with TSUOS on the district’s tourism potential.
