Open Lecture on SDG5
An open lecture was held by Barno Tadjibaeva, an English language instructor at the Department of Western Languages, with first-year students of the Oriental Philology Faculty at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The lecture focused on SDG5: Gender Equality, one of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During the lecture, students engaged in an interactive discussion about gender equality, protecting the rights of women and girls, and creating equal opportunities in society. Using modern pedagogical approaches, the students analyzed the topic through videos, statistical data, and real-life examples.
Students not only improved their English communication skills but also gained insights into how gender equality manifests in both global and local contexts. At the end of the session, they demonstrated their active and responsible approach to the issue by presenting their ideas and proposals on the topic.
This open lecture played a vital role in shaping the social awareness and responsibility of the younger generation, guiding them to become specialists who uphold the principles of equality and human rights.
