Pre-election Debates Through the Lens of a TSUOS Professor
On October 4, 2024, another round of debates was held as part of the election campaign. Representatives of various political parties expressed their views on pressing social issues, answered voters’ questions, and commented on each other’s positions.
During the debate, Dr. Sayfiddin Juraev, a professor of political science at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), provided an in-depth analysis of the issues raised, responses given, and inter-party approaches.
“These debates not only ensure transparency and openness in the electoral process,” said the TSUOS expert, “but also play an important role in raising political awareness and civic engagement, strengthening citizens’ responsibility, and building public trust in political institutions and democratic processes”.
