SDG Center Established at TSUOS
On November 8, 2024, the Center for Sustainable Economic Development was officially launched at the Institute of Foreign Policy and International Economic Relations of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS).
At the presentation event, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovation Durbek Sayfullaev and the center’s director Sulhiya Gazieva provided detailed information about the center’s primary goals and responsibilities.
The following strategic directions were outlined:
- Implementation of scientific research projects
- Development of applied innovations and startup initiatives
- Establishment of international cooperation
- Organization of roundtable discussions and meetings with professionals
- Coordination of educational excursions for students
The center’s activities are designed not only to enhance students’ academic and practical skills but also to shape them into competitive professionals ready for the demands of a market economy. This initiative serves as a concrete step toward expanding employment opportunities and supporting innovative economic growth, in line with SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
