Visit to SPSU
On September 21, 2024, within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG-4), Gulchekhra Rikhsieva, Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), held a productive meeting with the leadership of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Saint Petersburg State University. During the meeting, recent reforms in Uzbekistan’s higher education system were thoroughly discussed, along with promising directions for future cooperation between TSUOS and SPSU.
Within the meeting, both parties agreed on exchanging experience in scientific and educational fields, implementing joint projects, and developing student and faculty exchange programs.
Additionally, Rector Gulchekhra Rikhsieva delivered lectures to the students of the Turkology Department, providing in-depth insights into the latest trends in Oriental studies, the study of Turkic languages, especially Uzbek, and modern teaching methodologies and their contemporary significance. The lectures were met with great interest by the students, who actively participated in discussions and posed questions.
