Experience and Partnership in the Hospitality Industry: TSUOS Students at “HORECA EXPO UZBEKISTAN 2025”
On October 21–23, 2025, the international exhibition and job fair “HORECA EXPO UZBEKISTAN 2025” was held in Pavilion No. 3 of Uzexpocentre, Tashkent. This three-day event brought together leading companies operating in the fields of hospitality, tourism, and services.
The Department of Tourism of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, led by the Head of Department Mr. Ch. Khusanov, along with department members S. Tashtaeva, Sh. Yazdanova, F. Narzullaeva, M. Nurullaeva, M. Mamanov, and E. Ruzikulov, actively participated in the event together with undergraduate students (1st–4th year) and master’s students majoring in Tourism and Hospitality.
During the exhibition, students had the opportunity to directly communicate with representatives of prestigious hotels such as Hilton, Great Silk Road Samarkand, Navruz Hotel, JW Marriott, Hyatt Regency, SWISSOTEL, DoubleTree by Hilton, Movenpick, Mercure, and Wyndham Garden. They obtained information about employment and internship programs, filled out application forms provided by employers, and took part in interviews.
The speeches, presentations, and master classes held during the event proved extremely beneficial for the students. They acquired new knowledge and practical experience on modern trends in the hospitality industry, service quality, personnel training, and the development of professional skills.
This visit became not only a valuable school of practical experience but also an opportunity for students to define their future career paths, establish connections with employers, and explore real opportunities in the labor market.
Within the framework of the HoReCa international exhibition, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies signed a memorandum of cooperation with several representatives of the hotel industry. As a result of this agreement, the university’s Tourism and Hospitality training base was significantly expanded, now including several five-star hotels. This partnership contributes to improving students’ professional training and strengthening their practical knowledge and skills in tourism and hospitality.
