On May 16, 2025, at the Amir Timur Museum, Nadira Khalmurzaeva, PhD and Associate Professor of the Higher School of Japanese Studies of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, conducted a final assessment in the course “Simultaneous Interpretation.”
This assessment was designed for fourth-year students specializing in Japanese Studies and was dedicated to the topic “Introduction and Translation of the Amir Timur Museum and Its Exhibits into Japanese.”
Held in an interactive format, the students were divided into groups to familiarize themselves with the main exhibits of the museum and to present their historical and cultural significance in Japanese. Each student performed a simultaneous interpretation exercise related to the exhibit assigned to them.
During the process, the students demonstrated clear, accurate, and meaningful oral expression in Japanese and tested their interpreting skills in a real-life setting. They particularly gained practical experience in appropriately translating historical terms and cultural contexts.
At the conclusion of the assessment, a question-and-answer session and analytical discussion took place. The students actively applied their knowledge and skills, showing creativity and teamwork.
This final assessment provided practical experience in simultaneous interpretation and highlighted the importance of language proficiency in promoting our national heritage on an international scale.
