A spiritual and educational event titled “A Call for Mutual Harmony and Tolerance in the Poetry of Allama Iqbal” was held at the TSUOS
On November 18, 2025, a spiritual and educational event titled
“A Call for Mutual Harmony and Tolerance in the Poetry of Allama Muhammad Iqbal”
was held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies to commemorate the birthday of the great Eastern poet and philosopher, Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
During the event, participants shared their views on the significance of Iqbal’s legacy in today’s globalization processes, as well as his ideas promoting mutual harmony, interfaith tolerance, and enlightenment.
Professors, lecturers, master’s students, and undergraduate students of the university presented samples of Allama Iqbal’s poems and philosophical works written at different stages of his life.
The event was also attended by His Excellency Ahmad Faruk, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan. In his remarks, he highlighted the joint projects and initiatives carried out in cooperation with the university, the opportunities created for young people to receive quality education, and the achievements of our students. He emphasized that these accomplishments are the result of the opportunities provided in our country thanks to the support and attention of our Honorable President.
