On November 25, 2025, a meeting was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies with Hasan Hamza bin Hoshim, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
TSUOS Rector, Professor Gulchekhra Rikhsiyeva presented information about the university’s activities, research, and projects in Arabic studies. The ambassador expressed his readiness to develop bilateral cooperation and support the draft memorandum of understanding with Qatari higher education institutions.
Additionally, the organization of an international conference at TSUOS in 2026 was discussed.
