At TSUOS in cooperation with the Fergana Regional Administration and Japan’s Rissho University, the 2nd International Symposium on the theme “The Silk Road as a Symbol of Sustainable Tourism” was held
The 2nd International Symposium on the theme “The Silk Road as a Symbol of Sustainable Tourism” was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies in cooperation with the Fergana Regional Administration and Japan’s Rissho University. The event was attended by tourism experts, professors, researchers, and students.
During the symposium, it was emphasized that the Silk Road, as a historical and educational route, plays an important role not only in understanding cultural heritage but also in ensuring the development of sustainable tourism.
Special attention was given to supporting sustainable tourism in Uzbekistan, promoting historical monuments and values in the international arena, developing local communities, and preserving cultural wealth. Proposals were also made to strengthen cooperation with regional organizations and local authorities in order to increase the flow of domestic and international tourists.
Following the symposium, participants visited the tourism center established at the university, which showcases the rich heritage of our country.
