Boysun district is one of Uzbekistan’s most precious regions, distinguished by its historical and cultural heritage, natural beauty, and ancient traditions. In recent years, a number of initiatives have been implemented to promote the region’s tourism potential among the youth.

To this end, the Tourism Working Group of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies organized seminar-trainings dedicated to the integration of tourism and education at Secondary Schools No. 2 and No. 3 in Boysun district.

During the event, the Head of the Department of Tourism, Mr. Ch. Khusanov, delivered engaging information about Boysun’s historical sites, traditional handicrafts, natural landscapes, and the existing opportunities for tourism development.

The meeting provided students with practical insights into modern trends in tourism, guiding services, customer communication etiquette, and other applied aspects of the field.

These activities aimed to foster an understanding of national values, instill a sense of appreciation for historical heritage, and build awareness and interest in tourism-related professions among young people.

As part of the event, a short-term training course titled “Fundamentals of Guiding and Customer Service Skills” and a youth tourism club named “Tourism & Travel Club” were established. These initiatives are intended to enhance students’ practical skills and stimulate their academic and professional interest in the tourism sector.

Through such initiatives by Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, young people are developing a stronger sense of historical identity, patriotism, and growing interest in contributing to the development of the country’s tourism potential.
