Cooperation in the Field of Tourism and Education: New Initiatives Between Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Boysun District
On October 2, 2025, a follow-up meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fields of tourism and education was held between the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and the Department of Preschool and School Education of Boysun District, Surkhandarya Region.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Chori Khusanov, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Tourism at the university, and Erkin Abdurahimov, Head of the Department of Preschool and School Education of Boysun District.
During the dialogue, the parties agreed to cooperate in the following key areas:
- Promoting the tourism potential of Boysun District among school-aged youth;
- Developing modern tourism-related skills and knowledge among students;
- Organizing training and professional development courses for local tour guides;
- Conducting tourism-themed lessons, seminars, training sessions, and master classes in schools;
- Integrating Boysun’s historical and cultural heritage into the educational process to foster patriotism and respect for national values among young people.
During the discussions, both sides emphasized that this cooperation represents not only a practically significant project for students and pupils but also an important step toward building the tourism brand of Boysun District and promoting it on both domestic and international tourism markets.
