17.4.2. EDUCATION FOR SDGS: SPECIFIC COURSES ON SUSTAINABILITY
At Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), sustainability education is a key component of our academic strategy. The university offers dedicated courses and modules—both full-degree and elective—that directly address sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Each year, TSUOS conducts a comprehensive curriculum review to ensure that all programs remain relevant to global sustainable development priorities. In 2024, this process resulted in the inclusion and update of numerous SDG-focused and sustainability-related courses across undergraduate and graduate levels.
Students can choose from a wide range of electives dedicated to sustainability, including subjects on Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development, Global Governance and SDGs, Sustainability in Oriental Studies, Green Economy and Innovation, and Social Responsibility in Business and Politics. These courses provide students with interdisciplinary perspectives and practical tools to address complex sustainability challenges.
