17.4.2. EDUCATION FOR SDGS: SPECIFIC COURSES ON SUSTAINABILITY

At Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), sustainability education is a key component of our academic strategy. The university offers dedicated courses and modules—both full-degree and elective—that directly address sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Each year, TSUOS conducts a comprehensive curriculum review to ensure that all programs remain relevant to global sustainable development priorities. In the 2025-2026 academic year, this process resulted in the inclusion and update of numerous SDG-focused and sustainability-related courses across undergraduate and graduate levels.

Students can choose from a wide range of electives dedicated to sustainability, including subjects on Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development,  Sustainability in Oriental Studies, Green Economy and Innovation, Sustainable Economic Growth, Human Resources Management, Sustainable Investment, ESG Management, Global Economic Development, Green Tourism, Ecotourism Development, Environmental Policy and Diplomacy and National Models of Sustainable Economic Growth. These courses provide students with interdisciplinary perspectives and practical tools to address complex sustainability challenges.

Information about these and other sustainability-focused courses can be accessed via:

Through these offerings, TSUOS ensures that all students have access to meaningful sustainability education, empowering them to become responsible leaders and innovators in advancing the SDGs.
