Admission of Documents for Qualification Examinations
At Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, documents from applicants for qualification examinations are accepted through the designated link.
In the Field of History (07.00.00), qualification examinations are conducted in the following specialties:
- 07.00.03 – World History
- 07.00.08 – Historiography, Source Studies and Methods of Historical Research
- 07.00.05 – History of International Relations and Foreign Policy
In the Field of Economics (08.00.00), qualification examinations are conducted in:
- 08.00.09 – World Economy
In the Field of Philology (10.00.00), qualification examinations are conducted in:
- 10.00.05 – Language and Literature of Asian and African Peoples
- 10.00.06 – Comparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics and Translation Studies
- 10.00.10 – Textual Studies and Literary Source Studies
In the Field of Political Sciences (23.00.00), qualification examinations are conducted in:
- 23.00.02 – Political Institutions, Processes and Technologies
- 23.00.04 – International Relations, Political Issues of Global and Regional Development
Additionally, supplementary examinations are conducted in the following subjects:
- Uzbekistan’s Interests in International Systems
- Regional Aspects of Contemporary International Relations
- Theoretical Issues of the Specialty
Qualification examinations are held in session format four times a year — in February, May, November, and December, in accordance with established procedures.
Required Documents for Specialty and Additional Qualification Examinations (in accordance with the dissertation topic):
- Official referral letter;
- Copy of passport;
- Employment certificate (approved by the HR Department of the main workplace);
- Extract from the minutes of the institution where the dissertation was completed, confirming its readiness and recommendation for defense;
- Copy of the publication announcing the doctoral dissertation topic in the journal “OAK Bulletin”;
- Copy of the certificate confirming successful completion of the previous qualification examination (“Foreign Language”);
- List of scientific publications (certified by the scientific secretary of the institution where the research was conducted).
