Services for International Students
The International Cooperation Department of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies provides information, consultation, and administrative support to international students throughout their admission, study, and stay in Uzbekistan. The Department coordinates relevant processes and facilitates communication between international students and the university’s academic and administrative units.
- Providing information on admission procedures for international applicants and the Study in Uzbekistan platform;
- Providing information on Bachelor’s, Master’s, and other educational programmes;
- Advising applicants on admission requirements, required documents, and application deadlines;
- Receiving inquiries from international applicants and referring them to the relevant university departments;
- Organizing Orientation/Welcome Sessions for newly enrolled international students;
- Introducing international students to the university’s internal regulations, procedures, and available services;
- Providing practical information on daily life in Uzbekistan, including transportation, banking, communication services, and other essential matters;
- Assisting international students in establishing contact with faculties and departments;
- Providing guidance on obtaining academic certificates, transcripts, and other university documents;
- Receiving and processing inquiries from international students and referring administrative matters to the relevant university units;
- Providing information on academic exchange and mobility programmes;
- Providing information on international scholarships, grants, and other funding opportunities;
- Providing information on opportunities offered by the university’s partner higher education institutions and international organizations;
- Supporting the integration of international graduates into the Alumni Network;
- Issuing certificates and official statements confirming students’ enrolment/study status in English;
- Providing information on international grants and academic mobility programmes offered in cooperation with local and foreign universities;
- Providing consultation and guidance to students interested in studying at foreign higher education institutions;
- Providing visa-related support and services for international students;
- Providing tuition fee agreements and related payment documentation to international students;
- Assisting international students with temporary registration in the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- Providing information about foreign language courses available at the university;
- Providing information on entry visa requirements for the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- Coordinating the preparation and processing of invitation letters and visa-related documents;
- Assisting students with temporary registration procedures and related administrative matters;
- Informing international students about the validity periods of their visas and migration documents and the requirements for their timely renewal.
