The seminar-training titled “Scopus: Search and Bibliometric Analysis”
The seminar-training titled “Scopus: Search and Bibliometric Analysis” was organized by the Department of Scientific Research and Innovation of TSUOS (Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies) in cooperation with the Linguistics Center of TSUOS. The session featured presentations by Shoira Usmanova, Doctor of Philology and Professor, and Nodir Karimov, Doctor of History and Associate Professor, who provided detailed insights into conducting research searches in the Scopus database and performing bibliometric analysis. The event took place on December 2, 2025, at 15:00 in Room 600, Block A, TSUOS.
This seminar-training was organized as an important public event contributing to the implementation of SDG 4 – Quality Education. The main objective of the initiative was to enhance the skills of faculty members, researchers, and students in effectively using scientific information resources, particularly by developing practical competencies in Scopus-based research and bibliometric analysis.
During the seminar, participants learned methods for searching scientific articles, identifying reputable journals, conducting citation analysis, and evaluating research performance. As a result, the event contributed to strengthening participants’ research capacity, increasing their competitiveness in the international academic arena, and supporting the principles of lifelong learning.
