Visit of the Liaoning Province Delegation of the PRC
On April 27, 2026, a delegation led by Zhao Hongbin, Deputy Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Liaoning Province, visited Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
During the visit, the guests met with the university leadership and discussed issues related to the development of scientific research and international cooperation. The parties exchanged views on academic mobility of students and faculty, implementation of joint educational programs, joint research projects, and the expansion of cultural and humanitarian ties.
The sides also discussed organizing internship programs for Liaoning students at the university, as well as attracting talented students to master’s degree programs. Practical steps were outlined in these areas.
Furthermore, agreements were reached to implement joint projects in the field of Eastern philosophy, particularly focusing on the study of folklore, culture, and socio-economic processes within the framework of the Great Silk Road.
In addition, the issue of organizing special language courses in Uzbek, Russian, and English for Liaoning students at the university was positively resolved.
These agreements are of significant importance for strengthening bilateral academic and cultural relations, as well as elevating international cooperation in education to a new level.
