International online roundtable on “Women in science and education in the XXI century: achievements and challenges”
Today, on February 11, 2021, an international online roundtable on “Women in the field of science and education of the 21st century: achievements and problems” was organized at TSUOS.
On December 22, 2015, a resolution declaring February 11 as “International Day of Women and Girls in Science” was adopted at the plenary session of the UN General Assembly. The main goal of the resolution is to attract women and girls to scientific activities. In this regard, today’s event organized at the university was opened by the rector of TSUOS, Guchekhra Rikhsiyeva, who emphasized that women also have an important role in managing TSUOS. For example, he mentioned in his speech that 16 out of 25 departments, 11 departments and 1 faculty are headed by women and gave the turn to the conference participants. Muhammadyunusova, Chair of the Youth Parliament of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis participated with their lectures. It should be noted that more than 400 women scientists from higher education institutions participated in this online event.
During the event, beautiful words and praises were given to women, how dear and respectable they are, how much beauty, kindness, kindness, and sincerity are embodied in the word “Woman” itself. We have a confession. Indeed, attention to women has been increasing in recent years. The number of female leaders in state organizations is increasing is proof of our words. In addition, we witnessed such attention growing on a global scale as well in the comments of the foreign conference participants.
All the participants emphasized that this roundtable discussion was organized for the first time at the Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. They also said that they were very satisfied with it and got a lot of impressions and information from it. After a long roundtable discussion, the participants expressed their thoughts and opinions on the topic online through the Zoom platform.
