Vice-President of the University of Japan Irio Soshi is visiting TSUOS today
Nobutaka Taguchi, champion of the 1972 Munich Swimming Olympiad and winner of many other international competitions, entered in the Guinness Book of Records, as well as in the International Swimming Hall of Fame, visited TSUOS today. During the meeting, the leadership of TSUOS acquainted the guest with the activities of the university, the 30-year history of the development of Japanese studies and the current state of cooperation with Japanese universities.
Nobutaka Taguchi noted that he was satisfied with the activities of the Faculty of Japanese Studies, the only one in Central Asia , and stressed that the work carried out in the field of Japanese studies plays an important role in the development of relations between our countries.
The guest was familiarized with the program of the first “International Week of Japanese Studies”, which will be held on the occasion of 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Japan in the period from February 23 to March 2, 2021 at TSUOS in cooperation with partner Japanese universities.
