On January 24, 2026, the 6th meeting of the University Council was held.
The meeting reviewed issues related to the implementation of decisions and directives of the President and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, as well as resolutions and orders of the Collegium.
During the Council meeting, tasks facing the university community were discussed in line with the “Uzbekistan–2030” Strategy, the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan, and the speech delivered at the Security Council meeting entitled “Priority tasks for further strengthening the country’s military security and defense”.
In addition, information was provided on the organization of the academic process for the spring semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, as well as on the involvement of students in internships.
Information was also presented on the curricula and programs of theoretical and methodological courses by specialties developed by academic supervisors for those admitted to the postgraduate education institute in 2026, including doctoral candidates’ justifications, research topics, and roadmaps.
In accordance with Resolution No. 1030 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 24, 2019, “On the procedure for providing additional remuneration to employees with academic degrees engaged in scientific, academic-pedagogical, and labor activities in state organizations in the fields of science and education”, proposals on additional payments to the official salaries of academic staff and employees of TSUOS were reviewed.
Issues related to entering topics into the database for students additionally admitted to master’s programs in the 2025/2026 academic year, assigning them to students, and approving academic supervisors were also discussed.
