On April 4, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies hosted an international scientific-practical conference “Uzbekistan-Korea: current and prospects of mutual cooperation.”
Local republican universities, branches of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Korea in Tashkent, and scientists and researchers working abroad attended the conference. Rikhsiyeva Gulchehra Shovkatovna, Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan – Kim Hee-Sang, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan’s Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments, and Tourism – Alimov Ravshanbek Azadovich, Director of the – Pang Chu Man expressed heartfelt congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the countries’ friendly relations. During the conference, future plans for the development of Korean studies in Uzbekistan were discussed, with a special focus on the research work of orientalists in the field of Korean studies.
At the end of the conference, decisions were made on their scientific and practical recommendations and suggestions for further development of scientific activities in the field of education in Uzbekistan and Korea. At the end of the conference, all participants were presented with a conference package and certificates of participation in the conference.
The “Korean Week”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Department of Uzbek-Korean diplomatic relations and Korean philology at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, is scheduled for April 4-8 this year, and the week began with an international conference.
The International Student Forum “Bow to Parents”, “Young Korean scholar on the threshold of science and creativity”, media products (textbooks, manuals) prepared by professors and teachers of “Korean Philology” on the basis of modern students), “Presentation of a book of translations of Muhammad Yusuf’s poems into Korean” will take place during this week.
