Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies creates all conditions for disabled people and supports them in every way.
Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies has 8 orphans, 49 students with disabilities, and 56 students included in special registers, as well as youth registers.
Funds from the State budget for the purchase of educational, scientific and fiction literature (books) for orphans and children deprived of parental care once per academic year during their studies in educational institutions subsidies in the amount of 5 times the amount of the base calculation are allocated.
In 2023, TSUOS provided financial support to winners of national and international competitions, students who played vital roles in the community, actively participated in various spiritual and educational events, who were also in need of social protection, distressed, who lost their breadwinners, and who lived in rented accommodation. Including:
– A total of 170 100 000 UZS of rent was paid to 567 students living in rented accommodation;
– 47 125 000 UZS of financial assistance was provided for those in need of social protection;
– Funds in the amount of 46 600 000 UZS were allocated for the autumn festival of oriental students;
– 22 100 000 UZS were paid to the winners of the “League of Young Readers”.
58 socially needy family members, orphans or those deprived of their parents’ care were admitted to study at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies on the basis of a basic fee-contract, and tuition fees of bachelors were paid to female students in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
Also, on the provision of subsidies to orphaned students studying at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, the University Rector’s Decree No. 378 dated December 14, 2023, on “Once in an academic year, allocating subsidies from the State budget to orphans and university students deprived of parental care for the cost of purchasing educational scientific and fiction literature (books) in the amount of 5 times the base calculation amount even during his studies” was developed. According to this order, subsidies were allocated to the students concerned.
