The Reflection of Culture and Traditions in Literature

INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE
INFORMATION LETTER
The School of South Asian Languages and Literature at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, in accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-6097 dated October 29, 2020, “On the Approval of the Concept for the Development of Science until 2030,” will hold an international scientific-practical conference on the topic “The Reflection of Culture and Traditions in Literature” on September 18-19, 2025, in cooperation with Jawaharlal Nehru University of India.
The conference will be organized in the following sections:
- Issues of Literary Studies and Linguistics
- Intercultural Communication and Translation Challenges
- Historical Relations, Historiography, and Ethnographic Research
- Issues of Folk Creativity
The conference materials will cover the following topics:
Literature as a means of expressing national and cultural identity
Analysis of the reflection of culture and traditions in literature of various periods
Literature as a source of historical study: traditions and culture of specific periods and regions
The impact of literary works on cultural and traditional perceptions in society
The process of preserving and promoting traditions through literature
Study of national customs, traditions, and legends in literary works
The reflection of folklore plots in written literature
The expression of social norms and traditions in literature
Study of everyday life, family traditions, and rituals of various peoples through literature
Issues of preserving and maintaining cultural and traditional elements in literary translation
Article requirements:
Length: 5–6 pages, 1.0 line spacing; margins – left 3 cm, top 2.0 cm, bottom 2.0 cm, right 1.5 cm; Microsoft Word editor, Times New Roman font, size 14
Title: centered, in bold capital letters
Author information: on the next line, centered and in italics, including full name, academic degree and title, institution (name, city, country), phone number, and email address
Abstract and keywords must be provided in Uzbek, Russian, and English; the abstract should be no more than 250 characters (without spaces); 5–6 keywords

Articles may be submitted in Uzbek, English, Hindi, or Urdu.
Additional Notes:
Conference proceedings will be indexed in Google Scholar
Each article will be assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier)
Participants will receive an electronic collection and a certificate
All conference materials will be published as a collection
Articles must be submitted in electronic form to the Organizing Committee by September 1, 2025. (Late submissions will not be accepted. Colleagues are kindly requested to respect the deadline and strictly adhere to academic ethics.)
Articles must address relevant topics within the scope of the conference, be based on scientific analysis and complete thoughts, and offer practical recommendations.
Submissions that do not comply with the conference topic, scientific standards, or technical requirements will not be accepted. Publication fee will be announced after acceptance of article.
