Literary and poetic evening dedicated to the anniversary of Mir Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur

On 13th of February 2019, the faculty of Korean studies held a spiritual and educational event dedicated to the birthday of outstanding Uzbek poet, a committed humanist, thinker, statesman Nizamadin Mir Alisher Navoi and the poet and educator, commander and statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur. The event was attended by the university administration, a professor at the University of the Uzbek language and literature named after Alisher Navoi Prof. Zulkhumor Kholmonova, teaching stuff and students of TSIOS.
The Rector of the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies Prof. Abdurahim Mannanov opened the event and made speech about the importance of studying the scientific and creative potential of Navoi and Babur and about the role of their great heritage in educating of the youth. After that, Prof. of the University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi Zulkhumor Kholmonova delivered a speech about the creative heritage of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Mohammad Bobur, about their humanistic qualities as a state and public figure and about the importance of a comprehensive study of their creative heritage.
During the event, the students of the faculty of Korean Studies and the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan performed beautiful songs, poems, ghazals, as well as scenes, dances, and entertainment performances. Particularly, students from the Republic of Korea and Japan read excerpts from the works of Alisher Navoi and Bobur in the Uzbek language and this made a great impression on the participants of the event.
