A New Monograph Published on Literary Translation
Gulnoza Nazrullayeva, PhD, Senior Lecturer at the Higher School of Translation Studies, Linguistics and International Journalism of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, has published a monograph entitled “Reconstruction of Characters’ Speech in Literary Translation.”
The monograph examines the issues of recreating characters’ speech in literary translation, based on translations from Hindi into Uzbek. The practical findings and theoretical conclusions of the study are valuable not only for researchers working on Hindi–Uzbek translation, but also for scholars and young specialists engaged in translation studies involving other language pairs.
The work provides significant theoretical insights into translation studies, translation practice, contrastive linguistics, lexicography, and intercultural communication, and can serve as a valuable resource for the development of textbooks, teaching manuals, and academic materials in these fields.
