British Experts Enhance the Qualifications of Local Staff Responsible for Education Quality
In cooperation with the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education of Uzbekistan, the British Council, and the UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), a professional development program was organized for staff of quality assurance departments at higher education institutions.

During the program, participants became closely acquainted with international quality assurance systems and improved their professional skills through practical training sessions.
The event was held at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation and was attended by Agency staff as well as heads of quality assurance departments of higher education institutions. The seminar was jointly organized with QAA and the British Council.
The training sessions were conducted by QAA experts Tullio Lobetti and Julie Till. Throughout the program, participants discussed internal and external quality assurance systems in higher education, evidence-based approaches to evaluation processes, the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG), and their alignment with the emerging quality standards in Uzbekistan.

In addition, practical sessions were organized on external evaluation procedures, assessment criteria, objective and transparent report preparation, and effective communication with stakeholders.
The program also saw the active participation of S. Kh. Makhkamova, Head of the Quality Control Department at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
At the conclusion of the seminar, all participants who attended all sessions were awarded Certificates of Achievement.
This training seminar became one of the important steps toward strengthening Uzbekistan’s higher education quality assurance system in line with international standards and promoting a culture of quality.
