Roundtable Discussion Held in Honor of the 689th Anniversary of Great Commander and Statesman Amir Temur
In honor of the 689th anniversary of the birth of the great statesman, commander, and founder of the Timurid state — Amir Temur — the Faculty of Eastern Civilizations and Philosophy at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies organized a special event. Students, professors, and guests participated to pay tribute to the legacy of the great ruler.
The roundtable discussion began with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the Faculty, PhD, Associate Professor M. Askarov, who emphasized the significance of studying the Timurid era for understanding the historical and cultural development of Central Asia.
Associate Professor R. Alimova delivered a presentation on the role of women during the Timurid period, highlighting their influence in politics, education, and the arts.
At the end of the event, winners of an interactive quiz based on a historical book about Amir Temur’s life and achievements were awarded. The winning students received valuable gifts and diplomas from the organizers.
