Cooperation in Tourism and Education in Chust District: Orientalists in Chust Schools
On the initiative of the Tourism Working Group of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, on September 23, 2025, open dialogues were organized in secondary schools No. 9, No. 13, and No. 75 of Chust District. The aim was to widely promote the tourism potential of the district and to familiarize the younger generation with national values, the region’s rich cultural heritage, and tourism opportunities.
During the event, the Head of the Department of Tourism, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Ch. Khusanov provided students with detailed information about the historical monuments of Chust District, traditional handicraft practices, beautiful natural landscapes, and modern tourism opportunities. He also emphasized that Chust District is one of the most attractive destinations for tourists not only in Namangan region but throughout Uzbekistan.
A quiz entitled “Do You Know About Tourism?” was held for students, and active participants were awarded memorable gifts. At the end of the event, awareness activities were conducted to introduce graduating students to the tourism sector and to assist them in choosing their professional pathways in this field.
This project serves to strengthen the integration of education and tourism, fostering in the younger generation a love for their homeland and a sense of national pride. Furthermore, by guiding students toward promising professions such as tourism, hospitality, service, and management, it plays an important role in shaping their future professional careers.
