Advancing SDG 4 through Arabic Language Education

In connection with the visit of the delegation from the International Arabic Language Academy named after King Salman to Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), an article titled “The King Salman International Arabic Language Academy – A Fortress of Knowledge” by the head of the Department of Arabic Philology, Shorustam Shomusarov, was published in Al-Jazeera newspaper.

The educational projects organized by the King Salman International Arabic Language Academy focus on teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, thereby promoting quality and inclusive education at the international level.

In May and November of 2023, the Academy, in cooperation with TSUOS, held professional development courses for professors, students, and researchers. These programs enabled participants to deepen their knowledge of the Arabic language, explore modern teaching methodologies, and enhance their language instruction skills.

These initiatives contribute to the realization of goals such as providing equal access to higher education, equipping youth and adults with necessary skills, and promoting cultural diversity.

The Academy not only develops textbooks and educational materials but also works to improve the quality of Arabic language instruction through teacher training, conferences, and international collaboration.

Through these activities, the Academy is expanding access to quality education in Uzbekistan and throughout Central Asia, thereby actively contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
